"As part of the program, fire officials will conduct home fire safety visits and install more than 1,800 smoke alarms in the community. "They are going to be going into the homes testing all the smoke alarms and if they aren't working they will put it in for free because really the idea is to give you that early warning so you have time to get out," said Ed Comeau, Communications Manager of Vision 20/20. The fire alarms are being funded by a grant from the Department of Homeland Security and the Massachusetts Department of Health." Channel 40's article.
